UMS WINTER DRIVE: Support Local Teens
From January 30 – February 9, 2024, UMS families will be collecting items to help local unhoused and food-insecure high school students.  Teachers in some areas of San Jose report that many students come to school hungry and exhausted from sleeping in their cars or working night shifts, and their resource centers are lacking basic items to help the students.  Resource centers are in particular need of the following items that we hope UMS families can provide during our winter drive:
  • Granola bars, Slim Jims and snacks
  • Basketballs, soccer balls, and free weights
  • School supplies 
  • Diapers (infant to 3T) and wipes for teen parent childcare center
  • Used sewing machines and art supplies for art projects
Please drop off your donations in front of the office so we can make a difference this winter!
