UMS Dodgeball Tournament

UMS Sports Boosters will be hosting its annual UMS Dodgeball Tournament on Friday, March 7, 2024. This fundraiser helps support UMS Athletics. Our goal is to raise money for sports and PE but most of all to create a fun event for the whole family!

This year we welcome student teams (by grade level), adult teams, and alumni teams (high schoolers are welcome!). All teams are encouraged to dress in costume. There will be prizes for winning the tournament in each category and for most creative costume in each category.

Please sign up your entire team by completing the Team Registration Form and paying the donation fee at the UMS Store. Each participating student must sign and have his/her guardian sign the Required Permission Form.

There will be a student team information meeting at lunch during the week of March 3rd.

​​Come join the fun and cheer on the players! Tickets will be $5 at the door. 
Tournament Format & Prizes
  • Four divisions – 6th, 7th, 8th grades, and Adult/Alumni division
  • Up to 12 teams per division
  • Pool play. Each team is guaranteed 3 games
  • Each game will last 3 minutes
  • Championship game for each division
  • Prizes for all players on the winning teams
  • Prizes for best dressed teams
Team Format
  • Teams must consist of 6-8 players from the same grade. New this year - teams can be co-ed, ALL girls or ALL boys!! 
  • Teams must designate a team captain who will be responsible for communicating between tournament organizers and the team.
​Registration
Registration is open now! Please sign up your entire team by completing the Registration Form and paying the donation fee at the UMS Store. 
  • ​​You can register as a team only. Teams must make one payment as a team and must pre-register to participate.
  • Team fees:
    • 6-player team: $120
    • 7-player team: $140
    • 8-player team: $160
  • ​Each participating student must sign and have his/her guardian sign the Permission Form.
  • You must register by March 1st.
Team Requirements
  • All team members must attend a mandatory team meeting held the the week of March 3rd during lunch in the gym. Tournament rules and expectations will be communicated.
  • Teams are encouraged to dress in costume. Prizes will be awarded for the most creative costumes.
  • Team name must be approved by the tournament organizers.
Tournament Rules
All school conduct rules apply during the Dodgeball Tournament. Students must show good sportsmanship, have respect for other players, staff & volunteers, and use appropriate language at all times. Parent volunteers and UMS staff have the right to disqualify any team member at any time for any of these reasons.

Tournament Schedule
  • Tournament schedule will be posted by March 6th. The tournament schedule depends on how many teams sign up. 
  • Tournament organizers will not accommodate requests for game times. If you sign up to play, please be prepared to attend.
