Show off your baking talents and create winter themed desserts for the UMS Holiday Baking Challenge! Design a gingerbread structure, create a cake pop design or add a unique twist to decorate cookies, cakes or cupcakes! Prizes will be given to various categories including: most creative, most festive, cutest, funniest, school spirit, etc. Special recognition will go to the advisory class with the most entries! Entries are due by Wednesday, December 16th at 5pm Winners will be announced Friday, December 18th Submit a picture of your entry via this Google Form We are considering having some sort of Drama Club activities, starting in January. Prizes Prizes will be awarded to 1st place, 2nd place, 3rd place, and Students' Choice Award, in each category for each grade. Your artwork will be uploaded to a UMS online gallery where you can view entries and order custom gifts! How to submit your art Submit your art through this Google form: https://forms.gle/pme271EjiMqe9Wab7 Make sure the photo you are uploading is the photo you’d like to be printed on the gift item (ex. imagine your picture on a mug cup). Use good daylight, take a photo of the entire art piece, blank/solid color background is the best. Judges The judging will be done by a few UMS parents and teachers. The Union Home & School Club is sponsoring a pajama and book drive for Pajama Program. Good Nights Are Good Days - Pajama Program’s mission is to promote and support a comforting bedtime routine and healthy sleep for all children to help them thrive. To help ensure all children have a good night, they focus their activities on children who face losing loved ones, foster care placement, inadequate or unsafe housing, homelessness, violence in the home, or whose families struggle to make ends meet. Pajama Program aims to make sure all children have equal access to a comforting bedtime routine.
Collection boxes will be outside the UMS Office doors November 30th thru December 11th, Monday thru Friday, from from 9am-2pm. If you have question or can’t make it during those times, please contact us for an alternative drop-off location. Thank you! |
